We were at the 4th International Conference on Organic Agriculture in Mediterranean Climates

After a 2-year hiatus due to Pandemic Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, İzmir #ecology Fair (İZFAŞ) was held in Gaziemir İzmir Turkey on 27-29 May 2022. The 4th International Conference on #organic #agriculture in #MediterraneanClimates : Threats and Solutions, which was held in a three-day period consisting of oral and poster presentations and panels as hybrid (online and face-to-face), was held with ETO, IFOAM ABM, ISOFAR, Ege University, Aegean Exporters’ Associations and İZFAŞ arranged together.

The conference includes #aquaculture, wild harvesting, organic primary production and processing of #food and #non-food products of plant and animal origin, including policies and standards, auditing and certification, participant guarantee systems, consumer preferences, markets, social and ethical issues, #footprints, nutrition and #foodsafety, waste management, ecotourism and research and consultancy services.

Goksen CAPAR, Ozlem TASKIN, Buse UCAR, Tolga PILEVNELI and Ertug ERCIN, from our team, participated in the congress as speakers and the topic of “Organic Production and Water Footprint of Grape in Gediz River Basin” was discussed.
