Qu Dongyu, Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations: ‘As a result of the growing climate crisis at the UN General Assembly, levels of hunger and poverty have increased dramatically.’

Qu Dongyu, Director-General of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), stated at the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly which organized by the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), that the levels of hunger and poverty have increased dramatically as a result of the increasing #climatecrisis and various conflict environments.

He stated that agri-food systems are vulnerable and #supplychains are under pressure. Qu pointed out 3 major goals as roadmap. These are; #climatecrisis solution scenarios, #foodsafety, and #economicrecovery.
